Ist ja schon ziemlich lange her, seit meinem letzten Post, aber wenn die Zeit auch so rennt… Mitte Mai und endlich ist das Wetter so gut gelaunt, dass ich mein Anker-Kleid ausführen konnte.
Es ist bereits im letzten Jahr entstanden, für meine Reise nach Australien, wo es auch getragen wurde, aber seitdem hing es im Schrank und wartete auf bessere Zeiten.
Der Schnitt ist ein sogenannter Hack, eine Zusammenstellung aus zwei Schnitten. In diesem Fall habe ich als Oberteil den Schnitt vom „Nettie“ Bodysuit von Close Case Files verwendet, vorne den kleinen Ausschnitt und hinten den mitteltiefen (damit man den BH-Verschluss nicht sieht). Weil ich einen gerafften Rock ansetzen wollte habe ich nicht in der natürlichen Taille angesetzt, sondern etwas tiefer. Das ist weniger breit-machend, wenn ihr versteht, was ich meine. 😉
Für den Rock habe ich aus einer älteren Burda (8/2012) einfach den Schnitt eines Kleides mit Dirndl-Rock genommen, um ein Maß für die Länge der beiden Bahnen zu haben.
Der Stoff ist ein etwas festerer Baumwolljersey, den ich mal in einem Berliner Stoffladen günstig erstanden hatte. Die roten Streifen sind aus Jersey-Resten, die noch in der Reste-Kiste rumlungerten.
Das Kleid ist schnell zusammengekommen und ich bin absolut happy damit. Ein Gute-Laune-Kleid, mit dem man auch tanzen gehen kann 🙂

Spring time is finally making an appearance, yay! It´s been a while since my last post and boy, have I been busy at work. But now it seems that we will enjoy some nice weather in the next few days, so I took the opportunity to take my Anchor-Dress out 🙂
I made it already last year as a part of my holiday wardrobe for Australia and wore it there, but since then it was hanging in my closet and waited for sunnier times.
The dress is a patternhack, a combination of two separate patterns. In this case I used the „Nettie“ bodysuit by Closet Case Files for the top and attached a dirndl-style skirt taken from a Burda Style pattern (issue 8/2012).
I used the higher neckline at the front of the bodice and the semi-low neckline at the back (as to not show my bra straps). The skirt is sewn to the lowered waistline. Because it´s a gathered skirt, the natural waist would have looked too poofy on me 😉
The fabric is a nice cotton jersey, a little more sturdy than what I normally work with, and not sheer at all, which is a great benefit in a white-based fabric. I bought it in a local shop and not at the market for a change. The red jersey is a scrap from my scrap-box.
I am absolutely happy with how it came out and am sure of wearing it a lot this summer. I am prepared now 🙂
